Jeremy R. Yost

CEO Yost Management Services, Inc.

Real Estate developer and US Army Veteran; served a long and distinguished career in public service for local government and the State of Illinois (30 years) holding Administrative positions under six governors culminating in a six year appointment by Governor Jim Edgar to the Illinois Prisoner Review Board in1995.  

 

Mr. Yost was appointed to the Eastern Illinois University Board of Trustees in 2004 (six year term).  He has served as vice chairman of the Board of Trustees for one year.  Mr. Yost graduated from EIU with a bachelors of arts.  Mr. Yost also received the "Glen Hesler" distinguished service award from EIU athletics.  Mr. Yost is also the former Business Manager-Treasurer at Carbondale Community High School District #165.  Mr. Yost served on the "Illinois Association of School Business Officials State Board" for one two year term representing all School Business Officials in Southern Illinois.

 

Mr. Yost has been a tireless advocate for higher education in the Mattoon/Charleston area serving on the Lake Land College Foundation, The Charleston Excellence in Education Foundation as President and charter member.  Mr. Yost served on the Coles Together Economic Development Board for three years and is a former Vice-chairman of that board.  Mr. Yost is a member and former board member of the Charleston Area Chamber of Commerce.  In 1994 Mr. Yost received the "BESI" award as an outstanding Businessman in the eight county areas.  Mr. Yost formally owned and operated Stix Sports Bar, Restaurant, and Banquet Facility for 17 years in Charleston, Illinois.

 

In addition to Mr. Yost's public service activities, he has been heavily involved in developing and managing affordable housing projects, for the people of Northwest, Central, and Southern Illinois.  He is the President and CEO of Illinois Affordable Housing, NFP and Yost Management Company, LLC.  Mr. Yost was inducted into the Eastern Illinois University Hall of Fame in 1999.  He was inducted as a "Friend of the University" because he was one of the athletic department's most supportive individuals and a civic leader in Charleston since opening Stix.  As a "friend of athletics" he sponsored post-game parties, weekly football/basketball luncheons, provided the restaurant for annual Panther Club "Super Bowl" party, and major contributor to the Panther Club.

 

Mr. Yost resides in The Villages, Florida with his wife Denice.

Jeremy Yost is a highly accomplished real estate developer and US Navy veteran with a passion for excellence and a track record of success. During his four years of active duty, Mr. Yost earned the distinction of Sailor of the Year twice for his command and was a two-time runner-up for Blue Jacket of the Year for Navy Region Midwest. He completed his Bachelor's Degree in Management through the University of Phoenix while serving on active duty.

Continuing his education, Mr. Yost attended the graduate school of technology at Eastern Illinois University and later completed his MBA through Michigan State University's online program. Since 2009, he has consistently demonstrated his ability to drive growth and achieve results.

​

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Yost is a Master Mason at Masonic Lodge #35 in Charleston, Illinois. He is also deeply committed to giving back to his community and serves on the board of directors for Illinois Affordable Housing, NFP, Illinois Housing Council, and the South Central CoC. He has previously served on the Eastern Illinois University Panther Club Executive Board and was recently the Chair of Fundraising for EIU Athletics, EIU Foundation, Charleston Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Director, Affordable Assisted Living Coalition, American Legion Post 93 Member & former American Legion Post 93 Finance Officer.

Mr. Yost's dedication to excellence and service is reflected in his numerous accolades and awards, including EIU Panther Club's Rookie of the Year for fundraising, Biggest Catch for EIU fundraising (twice), and Coles County Council on Aging Partner of the Year.

Amber Hendrickson
Vice President of Operations - YMS, Inc.

Amber holds an associate's degree in Science from Richland College in Decatur, and she is a certified teacher who attended Millikin University in Decatur, IL. During her time at college, she was a distinguished member of Kappa Delta Pi, International Honor Society in Education, which recognizes and promotes excellence in education and fosters fellowship among those dedicated to teaching.

​

With her passion for early education, Amber worked as an educator in the Decatur area before joining the Yost Management Team, where she currently works in the housing field. Additionally, her interest in technology led her to create and manage a free real estate website for home sellers in Central Illinois for four years.

​

In 2018, Amber joined the Yost Management team while pursuing her studies at the University of Phoenix Business School. Her objective is to promote affordable housing while continually enhancing the quality of resident living.

Amber's qualifications include being a Certified Occupancy Specialist (with a high pass score certificate), a Management and Occupancy Review Specialist (with high pass standards), Fair Housing Specialist, Tax Credit Specialist, and a Blended Occupancy Specialist. She has also obtained the Certified Occupancy Specialist Advanced Certification.

Amber resides in Charleston, Illinois, with her husband Ian and two daughters.
